When you're first told that you have cancer it floors you, inundates every part of your mental process, making it all but impossible to think about anything else.
You need a hand on your shoulder, a sympathetic ear and above all somebody who can look you in the eye and say, "I know what's wrong with you, I know what needs to be done and I know how to do it. Relax you're in capable hands.”
How many innumerable times this exact scene has played out at the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center, there’s no way of knowing, but take the word of one who has been on the receiving end of the compassion, the technology and the treatment - in my book, they’re the best.
Thank God for the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and the T.J. Martell Foundation.Charlie Daniels
